Here's the priority sequence (but keep in mind each step is also a series of steps). I will support you on completing these steps in order. 🚦💹

1. Submit your taxes (use TurboTax or something to make your life easier) (if you need an accountant, that's not us, but there are ppl who help with that) the incorporation of your business complicates things and a business accountant will help you. I can do research to find someone, if required.

2. Apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) (I will give you the forms to fill out with your doctor) to get the tax credit for taxes paid when you earned an income (for ref I worked 2 years after my diagnosis and got a bit over 5000$ in DTC) which will help you pay for planned expenses such as school

3. Depending on how the funds are spent (e.g. tuition, business expenses, or rrsp), you can use these expenses to reduce your taxes owed again (at which point you'll know how to do your taxes)
