Our Aim High, Secondary 1 and 2 students had a great time at Arbraska to end the year with some outdoor fun!
Our Mission:
John F. Kennedy High School’s mission is to empower our students to meet the challenges of tomorrow, whatever they may be.
This can be achieved through creating a respectful and inclusive environment. It is our collective belief that through caring and fostering a nurturing environment, our students can develop the strength and confidence needed to face the world. Our Secondary 5 students had a wonderful send off today, starting with some Beavertails and ending with a spiritual graduation in the afternoon. We’re going to miss this bunch 🥲

Students from John F. Kennedy High School were proudly recognized for their outstanding achievements in the annual National Youth Remembrance Contests, a national initiative that invites young Canadians to honour veterans through art and writing.
Two JFK students earned first-place honours in the Senior division: Sreng Lim Nguon for “Affiches noir et blanc” and Martha Kwagala for her original poem. Their work stood out for thoughtful reflection, creativity, and a meaningful tribute to the spirit of remembrance.
The project was supported by Cassandra Reyes, Art Specialist, Vince Lacroce, PDCIA, and Laura Fiumidinisi, Acting Principal of John F. Kennedy High School, whose guidance helped students bring their ideas to life.
Also present for the presentation was Guylaine Demontigny, Trésorière et Campagne du Coquelicot, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Rosemont, whose presence highlighted the meaningful connection between youth, community, and remembrance.
As Vince Lacroce, PDCIA, reflected, “This project gave our students a powerful opportunity to connect creativity with remembrance, and to express gratitude in a way that was both personal and deeply meaningful.”

Our amazing childcare workers and technicians worked together with our students to organize a successful Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser today. Through donations and their bakesale/games at recess and lunch, JFK raised just over $1000!

👩🏻🍳 🍝 👨🏿🍳 Both our students and those from LINKS High School came together to host a vibrant Intergenerational Spring Fling in partnership with Jardin d’Italie!
The day featured a variety of engaging experiences designed to bring generations together. Seniors and students participated in art therapy sessions, enjoyed lively rounds of bingo, and took part in friendly games of bocce: an activity that celebrated the rich Italian heritage shared among many of the participants. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, storytelling, and genuine connection, highlighting the power of intergenerational engagement.
A highlight of the event was the special meal prepared in honor of the senior guests. This generous offering was made possible through the support of dedicated community partners, including Sergio Mattoscio of Sergiolino Restaurant and Steve Gracioppo of GRACIOPPO Financial Services. A special thank you to Chef Sergio for coming by and showing our students a thing or two in the kitchen, and putting our newly renovated kitchen to use! And who could forget to thank our Personal Development and Community Involvement Animator, Vince Lacroce for all his work to get this off the ground 🙏🏼
