Keren Ludvig, BJEC's educational technology consultant, went to visit Hebrew Foundation School for a cross-curricular initiative with Meaghan Wexelman, a grade 5 teacher.

Keren and Meaghan designed a curriculum-relevant robotics project to deepen students' grasp of the novel they are reading this year in class, Treasure Hunters by James Patterson, . Using the Sphero robot, the students started to create the map of the journey traveled by characters in the book. As they continue reading, we will code the robot to replicate the travels of the characters. We will be measuring and coding distance, speed and direction, as students study world geography.

Keren Ludvig, BJEC's educational technology consultant, went to visit Hebrew Foundation School for a cross-curricular initiative with Kindergarten teachers Bonnie and Merav.

Keren guided the students through a lesson on ScratchJr, and the children designed and coded their own Chanukah game. What a fun way to learn Chanukah symbols and vocabulary, while also practicing their problem-solving skills!
