DEKE OF THE WEEK: Brother Benjamin (Berbs) Bernier
Berbs was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Originally in education, he switched to Software Engineering to hop on the bandwagon with a minor in education. Congrats, your job market is cooked!
Ever since Berbs joined, he has been an active voice in the DKE community. Starting off as the Social Executive in his first semester at DKE, he quickly climbed the ladder to become president for a year. Now, you’ll find Berbs in the gym, playing sports, or drinking a pint with his boys.
We’re lucky to have you Berbs.

🚨 5 Minutes = 1 Life Saved! 🚨
Did you know that a simple cheek swab could be the key to saving someone’s life? 🧬💙 Stem cell transplants rely on genetic matches, and right now, our registry lacks diversity, making it harder for patients of colour to find a match.
🌎 Swab the World is on a mission to change that! Join us at the DKE house to swab, learn, and make a difference—because you could be someone’s cure.
📍 Where: DKE House
⏳ When: TOMORROW 8PM

Kevin was born in Toronto, Canada then moved to Calgary at the age of 2. He is currently in his 3rd year Computer Science and is working an internship in aeronautics. Kevin has been the VP Social at DKE for the past year, planning and running some of our most successful parties, and is soon handing the torch down. Kevin spends a lot of his free time in the EDM scene, frequently attending raves and music festivals, as well as participating in on-campus events. He hopes to travel full-time once he completes his studies.

DEKE OF THE WEEK: Brother Howe Wu
Howe was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally studying Microbiology & Immunology, he has recently switched to Computer Science in hopes of pursuing a career that actually makes money.
Outside of 680 Sherbrooke you’ll most likely find him at a festival throwing down to some viscous tunes, in the kitchen cooking up something exquisite for the boys, or at the gym most definitely not hitting legs. In all seriousness, where you will actually most likely find him is at the house on a Tuesday night ripping some Duroc with the fellers putting himself and everyone else within the nearby vicinity in a couple.
DKE has given so much to him in his time at McGill, as such he has dedicated himself to 2 years on the Exec Team, taking on the positions of Social Exec and Vice President of Tau Alpha.
If there’s 3 words that he exemplifies: “Just don’t lose”

Happy Tau Alpha Day!
124 years ago, on November 16, 1900, the Tau Alpha Chapter was chartered at McGill University, becoming the second DKE Chapter in Canada and the fifth fraternity at the university.
The founding members of Tau Alpha established a legacy of character, excellence, and brotherhood that continues to inspire. Over the years, the chapter has produced leaders who have made lasting contributions to McGill, Montreal, and the world beyond.
Today, we honor their vision and dedication. Here’s to 124 years of Tau Alpha!

Ben has served in a variety of roles within the chapter, most notably serving as the director of the Alumni Relations portfolio. Outside of the classroom, he can be seen sipping tea in a comfy sweater and dropping off nutritious desserts at the DKE house as he checks in on the fellas.

DEKE OF THE WEEK: Brother William Hatcher
Will was born in France but moved to Switzerland at a young age. While European on paper, he asserts his allegiance lies with the red, white and blue. He is currently finishing his degree in psychology and intends on making the transition to business. Outside of class, Will enjoys repeatedly picking up and putting down heavy circles and occasionally baking banana bread.
Never quiet the gym demon, Will!

DEKE OF THE WEEK: Brother Albert Choi
Albert was born in Seoul, Korea then moved to Calgary, Canada at the age of 4. He is currently in his last year pursuing his degree in Pharmacology and Therapeutics in hopes of researching in the field of drug development. Outside of sports, Albert enjoys exploring variety of cuisines and gaining additional calories with the boys, while secretly creating digital art projects.
You’re killing it, Albert!
