Too judgmental?
Become the observer of your inner chatter.
Ask yourself:
What would I say to a friend in this situation?
What piece of advice would I offer?
Take a moment and become your best friend.
Do not indulge in the self-punishment game.
Give yourself a mental hug.

If you want to love yourself you need to give up the concern you have about what other’s might think of you. When you constantly try to strive for other peoples approval instead of being true to who you are. You indirectly tell yourself that you’re not good enough and that isn’t an act of self love.
A quick self love exercise:
When you worry about someone else opinion of you, I want you to consider if they actually told you this or if it’s all in your head. Because most of the time you make things up in your head that no one actually told you. So it’s important to become aware if you created this falls story about yourself.
