At its core, holistic wellness helps improve your inner awareness to reach a state of mind-body-spirit integration.
That said, there are a range of holistic wellness practices that can help you foster a greater sense of inner balance and harmony.
Here’s our top three:
1. Body-Based Healing Methods — these are healing practices that use touch and a range of physical movements to treat different health concerns. Physical therapy is a common example.
2. Alternative Therapies — these are healing practices that use herbs, plants, and other organic materials to treat illness and other health conditions. For example, aromatherapy.
3. Mind-Body Interventions — these include psychological, social, behavioral, and spiritual approaches to healing. Mindfulness meditation is our favorite!

The underlying idea of holistic wellness is that each person is made up of interconnected parts — the mind, body, and spirit.
Holistic wellness takes each of these parts into account and considers how they impact one another and the entire being.
This approach encourages deep introspection and enables you to see the various moving parts within yourself. In turn, holistic wellness helps improve inner awareness of your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical states.
From there, you can discover which part needs some TLC and take actionable steps to meet your needs and bring your body, mind, and spirit into balance.
