Congratulations to Dr. Hideaki Okuyama, post-doc in Dr. Nicole Li-Jessen's Voice and Upper Airway Lab, of receiving Spring 2023 MRM Internal Funding. His project is about using stem cells and biomaterials for laryngeal muscle regeneration.

Dr. Nicole Li-Jessen recently received a Visiting Professorship from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. She and her Ph.D. students, Patrick Coburn and Mika Brown, will visit Prof Michael Döllinger's laboratory in Erlangen this December. Dr. Li-Jessen's team will present their research projects in computational medicine, tissue engineering and organ-on-a-chip during their stay. This visit will also be used to discuss future joint research topics, papers and potential grant applications between McGill and FAU.
