Over the past week, I had the pleasure of leading the final Art of Grandparenting workshop at the Contactivity Centre.
It was interactive, reflective, and full of meaningful conversations. Grandparents shared real challenges, acted them out, and explored Positive Discipline tools that bring more peace and cooperation into their families.

At the end, they proudly received their certificates — a joyful recognition of their curiosity, effort, and commitment to growing alongside their grandchildren.

Our children thrive when the adults around them know how to guide with both heart and mind.

So to all teachers and parents — have you ever wondered how to teach a young child to listen without relying on punishment or praise?

Last Friday, we began our Art of Grandparenting Workshop, and one beautiful reflection stayed with me:
"What I really want is for my grandchild to enjoy being with me."

Together we explored how children feel closer and more willing to connect when they feel respected, understood, and encouraged.

A heartfelt thank you to the grandparents from our daycare community for your enthusiasm, participation, and trust. It is truly a joy to learn and grow together in support of our children. 💛

Happy Holidays!

We recently received an excellent report following a routine, unannounced visit carried out by our governing office to ensure quality standards.

The feedback was very positive and encouraging, with particular emphasis on an approach rooted in kindness (bienveillance) and positive discipline when guiding children’s behavior.

Supporting children with respect, calm guidance, and consistency — while nurturing their emotional and social development — is central to our educational philosophy and aligns with current research in early childhood education.

This feedback reinforces our commitment to thoughtful, respectful, and up-to-date educational practices that place children’s well-being at the center.

Introducing our children to the 3Rs—Reflection, Relationships, and Resilience—is just as essential as reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Dr. Daniel Siegel’s Wheel of Awareness shows us how early mindfulness practices help children notice their feelings, connect with others, and bounce back from challenges. These are not “extra” skills—they are the foundation for lifelong learning and emotional well-being.

But children don’t learn these skills alone. They need trained parents and teachers who can model reflection, nurture relationships, and guide resilience-building from the very start.

Let’s invest in training the adults who shape children’s worlds. When we empower parents and teachers, we empower the next generation to grow calmer, kinder, and stronger.

How are you helping children build resilience today?

📚 Connection is the foundation of leadership.

In our daycare, moments like reading together aren’t just about stories—they’re about building trust, listening, and showing children that their voices matter.

When we slow down, connect, and nurture curiosity, we’re not only raising children—we’re raising future leaders. Leaders who know how to empathize, ask questions, and guide with respect.

Every page we turn together is a reminder: leadership begins with connection. 🌱💛
