They say Money cant buy happiness but without money we cant afford the basic things that we need in life to live . Being unemployed is stressful for individuals especially for parents who cant afford to put food on the table or give their children a better life and The majority of the unemployed experience a decline in their living standards which leads to a decline in spending power and the rise of falling into debt problems. After Working for a firm as a Recruiter , one thing caught my attention , 90 % of applications which came from immigrants were turned down which was alarming to me . the painful situation is that even those who made it to the job interview dont really know how to sell their skills ,strengths and accomplishments to hiring managers to convince them that they are the right fit for the job which causes may of them to be shortlisted . Due to the fact that Human resource professionals or recruiters dont have much time in their hands to explain to each candidate why they were not hired...This opens another room for the job seekers to go on making thesame mistake without knowing exactly whats wrong with their resume or the job interview skills . This is when I realised I had to use my skills to make a difference in the lives of these individuals by offering Free resume writing workshops educating canadian immigrants on how they can better brand themselves while teaching them HR winning startegies on how they can better sell their skills , strenghts and accomplishments to get hired faster. Today is one of those days where we look forward to improve more lives in our community and am happy that our team is all in for this positive change journey
