What is intention to refuse in CAQ applications?
Intention to refusal is a letter sent by immigration Quebec if the documents you submitted are incomplete or insufficient for a successful CAQ application. It is not a refusal. It just means that your application will be refused if additional info is not provided.
How to spot an intention to refusal?
It will be available on the Immigration Quebec (not Arrima) portal and will appear as "Documents Missing".
The letter of explanation will indicate what additional documents or info you will need to provide.
Call us ASAP if you receive intention to refuse letter.
We will book an appointment with our advisors for the next available slot. During the appointment, our advisors will guide you through the next steps.
After the appointment, assemble the new documents to be uploaded on Arrima.
You may also be suggested to draft a cover letter explaining your situation.
How to correctly upload the documents on arrima?
1. Log on to Arrima and click on "Mes Dossiers".
2. Scroll to the far right of the screen and click on the three horizontal dots against your application. Sometimes your screen resolution will require you to zoom out of the page for you to see this.
3. Click on "Mettre à jour Mon dossier" after clicking on the three dots.
1. In the event your application isn't saved, the paperclip icon will be inactive and grey. To make it active, click on the save icon first which will make the paperclip icon active.
2. Click on the paperclip icon and attach document(s) and click on "Joindre".
3. Repeat step 2 until you're certain all the necessary documents have been uploaded.
4. Once you're done uploading, click on the arrow icon to submit the application.
After you're done submitting the application by clicking on the arrow icon, the status of the application will read "Deposé".
