Happy New Year!

12/18/2025

Today it's a truly personal post...on this wonderful day 10 years ago, this cherub made me a Mum. I could never have imagined the roads we have travelled together and how much love could explode my heart. My beautiful boy - I can't wait to see what the next 10 brings. You are the best Christmas gift I have ever received.

Let’s be honest: most “New Year, New Me” talk is just recycled guilt with better fonts.

Before you write another list of resolutions you secretly don’t believe in, it’s worth pausing to ask a much better question:

👉 What does my actual life look and feel like right now?

I’ve put together a Wheel of Life Reflection Journal to help you do exactly that. It walks you through the key areas of your life – relationships, health, money, work, fun, personal growth, etc. – so you can see, in black and white, where you’re thriving and where you’re running on fumes.

This is the kind of tool I usually use with clients inside my coaching programs, but I’m making it free right now because so many women I talk to are exhausted, overextended, and quietly wondering,

“Is this really how I want the next 5–10 years to look?”

If that’s you, this journal will help you:

Get honest without beating yourself up.

Notice patterns and blind spots.

Start imagining a 2026 that feels more intentional and aligned.

The missing archetype: Why we need the Sovereign Woman

The conventional framing of a woman’s lifecycle - the triad of maiden, mother, crone - is in desperate need of an update. It no longer reflects the lived experience of contemporary women. We live much longer now, and we do not leap from motherhood straight into elderhood.

There’s an entire expanse of feminine identity that is not about birthing or caregiving at all.

I was recently introduced to a term that beautifully fills this gap: the Sovereign Woman, the Queen. Unlike the mother, she is no longer defined by responsibility to others. Unlike the crone, she’s not withdrawing from worldly roles but stepping into them with increased clarity and authority.

The Queen is not young, but she is not elderly. She is defined by self-governance, discernment, mastery, and mature spiritual autonomy.

In the tarot, the card that captures her essence most clearly is the Nine of Pentacles. The woman in the Nine of Pentacles is self-sustaining and self-authoring. She stands in a life built from her own choices, surrounded by the fruits of her labor - grounded, internally secure, and in command of her environment.

She is not waiting for permission or validation. She stands alone - not lonely, but complete. The falcon on her arm represents her disciplined mind and spiritual authority, and her lush garden symbolizes a world cultivated with intention and sovereignty.

Perhaps it’s time to revise the classic archetypal arc of the feminine to honor this powerful life stage that so many women inhabit - the space between nurturing others and preparing for the great transition, where we finally nurture ourselves and our own authentic expression.

I LOVE this! It encapsulates exactly what I believe and feel to be true. While I am happy to embrace my inner crone, this 'pre-crone' stage resonates deeply. I see more and more sovereign women taking their place as they should and am honoured to help women in that process of claiming her.

You can design your life — but only if you pause long enough to decide what you actually want.

Most of us spend years—sometimes decades—responding to what life throws at us.
We get exceptionally good at taking care of everyone else…
at managing the logistics…
at keeping the train on the tracks…
at being the reliable one, the strong one, the capable one.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth many women over 50 quietly arrive at:

Somewhere along the way, we stop asking ourselves what we want next.

Not what’s practical.
Not what’s expected.
Not what we’ve “always done.”
But what would light us up again.

Designing your next chapter requires a pause.
A deliberate moment of stepping out of the swirl and into intention.
Because clarity isn’t found in the rush — it’s found in reflection.

That’s exactly why I created The Fearless Masterclass.

It gives you the space, structure, and guided support to reconnect with your desires…
clarify what the next season of your life could look like…
and map a direction that feels aligned, energizing, and entirely yours.

We go deep.
We get honest.
And we build a vision that doesn’t shrink to fit your circumstances — one that expands to match who you’re becoming.

If you’re ready to stop drifting and start designing,
comment FEARLESS and I’ll send you the link.

Your next chapter isn’t waiting for permission — just your intention.
