The McGill chapter of Project Green Healthcare - a student-led initiative by the Canadian Federation of Medical Students’ (CFMS) Health and Environment Adaptive Response Taskforce (HEART). We are a group of motivated medical students who joined forces to form McGill’s Project Green Healthcare team – a student-led initiative established by the Canadian Federation of Medical Students’ (CFMS) Health

and Environment Adaptive Response Taskforce (HEART). Our project Inspire Sustainability aims to provide students with a centralized website containing: easy-to-use resources, education on sustainable alternatives, a database of climate action champions in clinical and research fields, and advocacy tools regarding planetary health. We truly hope that our colleagues in medicine and allied health professionals will have fun while going through our simple educational modules and be able to integrate sustainable actions in their future clinical practice! We are very proud to announce that we will officially launch our website in June 2021, so keep an eye out for that!

Join us for the Planetary Health Action Conference on Sunday, September 12th, 2021 to hear exciting developments in sustainable healthcare & medical education! Our Inspire Sustainability team will be presenting and we really look forward to sharing both our successes and the challenges we faced leading this initiative! 🙂

“The Canadian Federation of Medical Students Health and Environment Adaptive Response Taskforce (CFMS HEART) and members of their inaugural cohort of Project Green Healthcare/Projet Vert la Santé (PGH) have been making tremendous advances over the past year in planetary health education for Canadian medical students and advancing a net-zero Canadian healthcare system. At this virtual event, you will learn about projects led by medical students in both of these domains, as well as hear from our keynote speaker, Dr. Anna Gunz, MD, a paediatric intensive care doctor with expertise on the effects of climate change on child health and embedding climate change mitigation and adaptation measures into healthcare facilities. Whether you are a healthcare student, healthcare professional, health sector leader, or other allied stakeholder, we hope that this event will inspire you to continue taking planetary health action within your institution(s) and beyond!”

Today is the day!

Our website is officially up and you can access our learning modules and resources by signing up (for free). We sincerely hope that it will be useful in providing a clean and user-friendly hub of information regarding planetary health to health care professionals and students.

We believe that a collective effort is key in building a greener future, which is why our website is filled with information to help you integrate small changes to make your practice more sustainable. Link in bio! 🌍

Hi everyone!

We’re thrilled to announce that our website will be going live on June 5th! 🤗🤗

It will feature information about our mission, simple learning modules on sustainability in healthcare, a calendar with all of our upcoming events, a database of climate action champions from the medical field, creative yet feasible examples of sustainable alternatives, advocacy tools regarding planetary health and links to educational resources. 🌝⚡️
