🟠 Every Child Matters / Chaque Enfant Compte 🟠
This is a chance to reflect, listen, acknowledge, and support Indigenous Canadians as we come to terms with the country’s horrific legacy of residential schools. One way to do that is follow the work and donate to the non-profit Orange Shirt Society 🟧 (https://www.orangeshirtday.org/orange-shirt-society.html).
We’re proud to support this organization through donation, at PFM. Thank you to them (and to artist Andy Everson) for the difference they are making in spreading awareness of the residential school experience and the steps necessary to “witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and families,” in the name of reckoning and reconciliation.

For 2019, and PFM asked 7 designers and artists to pay tribute to the LGBTQIA acronym 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
We’re still so incredibly proud of this project and the hugely talented creators behind it.
Our 4 core values in our Code of Ethics, which every PFM team member needs to sign, are to “Be Authentic,” “Keep Curious,” “Speak Up,” and “Stand Out.” We hope we’re making the world a bit better of a place, in the process, by lifting up and empowering LGBTQIA+ people in all the things we do, in our workplace and beyond.
Happy ! 🌈

🌏 Most users believe emoji should do more to be inclusive
👪 Most users customize emoji and what more options to better reflect their identities
🕊76% of users feel emoji are a tool for creating unity, respect, and understanding

Mary W. Jackson, hidden figure no more 🚀 To commemorate NASA naming its HQ in Washington, D.C. after Jackson, the space agency asked Tracie Ching and six other artists to to create homages to the now-legendary engineer.
Ching created this amazing portrait, and we asked her what it meant to her to honour Jackson, for Adobe Drawing. Check it out here: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2021/03/17/tracie-ching-nasa-mary-w-jackson-fresco-portrait.html .ypki2f
“The greatest success I could hope to achieve with this image is to help young girls feel seen. To let them know these people existed and changed things for the better just by being themselves.” ✨

We all know the importance of creating a North Star Vision for your projects, but how do you communicate it to others so they jump onboard with you? 🌟 The answer = design vision stories.
We worked with Gabi Duncombe to tackle this big question. Gabi shared her awesome expertise on communicating North Star Visions on projects that set you up for success. Check it out at https://xd.adobe.com/ideas/process/prototyping/how-to-craft-design-vision-stories/, where she looks at:

✅ Documents to help you along the way
