Secondary 1/Grade 7 applications for the 2027-2028 school year open on Monday August 24. Entrance exams will take place Sept 26 and 27 (based on applicant’s last name) with interviews scheduled in October and November. The deadline to apply is September 18. Please ensure you have your child’s complete Grade 5 report card ready to upload during the application process. Only complete applications will be considered. ORIENTATION DAY for our incoming SECONDARY 1 (Grade 7) students is quickly approaching. Our Student Life Association (SLA) is looking forward to welcoming you to your new school. Look out for a Welcome email this week with all the details.

Congratulations to RWA’s own Zoë Labrie (bottom-left) (Gr. 9), who was selected as a member of the 15U Girls Junior National Flag Football Team. Selected from across the country, these young athletes will represent Canada 🇨🇦 as part of Football Canada’s first-ever Junior National Team Program.

Huge thanks to Vina for some amazing Yoga sessions. Organized by MindPOP and held every Thursday for eight weeks in the Memorial gym, these sessions welcomed students from all grades. During their lunch break, students found their zen, stretched their bodies, and reset their minds, all while learning new poses and their historical significance before heading back to class.

Adam S. competed at the Canadian U17 World Team Trials held on May 28th at the Centre Pierre Charbonneau in Montreal Quebec. He came away with two wins and we could not be more proud. Way to go Adam!

On June 3rd the Grade 9 ( 01) Drama class will be performing an
original ( written by the class!) play titled "The Time Machine: Theatre Through the Ages". There will be 2 performances ( 3:45 and 6:30). Free admission! Come see their play and support these creative thespians!!

Two wrestlers competed at the U19-U17 Canadian National Championships in Grande Prairie, Alberta on April 24 and 25th. Alexander won two matches at the 60 kg U17 division, in his first ever National Championships, while Adam came up a just a little short, placing 4th at the 80 kg U19 division and will try to qualify a place for the Cadet World Team at the end of the month!
