We're delighted to announce that our founder, Hitzel TREJO has received her formal ICF designation as Associate Certified Coach (ACC).

This is a clear recognition of her work ethics. While she's been inspiring us day-in-day-out for more than two years already, we strongly believe that the ICF's very high standards Hitzel has become very familiar with will help us fulfill our mission even better. Namely: " Minimizing social differences and inequalities for a fairer society."

Thus, today is a very festive day for us at CLARITY and, most importantly, for our Clientele.

One of our values is INCLUSION.

How do we live our values?

By engaging with initiatives that resonate with us.

We are supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week!

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform how neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations with the opportunity to recognise the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

WE as coaches understand the need to support diversity, comprising NEURO divergent clients.

In our experience, most people think good listening comes down to doing three things:
- Not talking when others are speaking
- Letting others know you’re listening through facial expressions and verbal sounds (“Mmm-hmm”)
- Being able to repeat what others have said, practically word-for-word

The research analyzed data describing the behaviour of 3,492 participants in a development program designed to help managers become better coaches. As part of this program, their coaching skills were assessed by others in 360-degree assessments.

Researchers identified those perceived as the most effective listeners (the top 5%). Then compared the best listeners to the average of all other people in the data set and identified the 20 items showing the most significant difference.

Some surprising conclusions researchers found, along with some qualities expected to hear. They grouped them into four main pillars:

1) Good listening is much more than being silent while the other person talks.
2) Good listening includes interactions that build a person’s self-esteem.
3) Good listening was seen as a cooperative conversation.
4) Good listeners tended to make suggestions.

Of course, there are different levels of listening. Not every conversation requires the highest listening levels, but many conversations would benefit from greater focus and listening skills.

Consider which level of listening you’d like to aim for in the graphic below.

Finally, we hope all will see that the highest and best form of listening comes in playing the same role for the other person that a trampoline plays for a child. It gives energy, acceleration, height and amplification. These are the hallmarks of great listening.

Jeremy Hunter describes how we can change the future by focusing on attention and Mindfulness.

Jeremy Hunter, Ph.D., is the great-grandson of a sumo wrestler and an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Peter F. Drucker School of Management.

"I used to think that pain was a negative, but I learned, with the right tool, it could become fuel for growth. And it led me down a path of strength, courage, and love."

What do you think?

Regardless of industry or field, there's one thing that distinguishes great leaders from good ones: the mindset of making something better versus just getting it done.

Good leaders complete a task; great leaders improve upon it.

Below are three suggestions great leaders leave something better than they found it that any leader can learn from.

1) Take ownership

2) Don't be afraid to get creative

3) Lead with vulnerability

The best leaders have less emphasis on checklists and more on continuous improvement. We all have the power to make an impact with our actions.
