Course Description
This course provides an extensive study of the Pauline Epistles, offering students the opportunity to explore the letters of Paul in depth. It examines the historical and cultural context of the early Christian communities to which Paul wrote, highlighting the challenges, concerns, and spiritual needs addressed in his letters. The course also investigates the theological themes, ethical teachings, and pastoral guidance found throughout the epistles, showing how Paul’s writings contributed to the formation of early Christian doctrine and practice.
Students will gain insight into the structure, purpose, and literary style of each epistle, as well as the broader significance of Pauline thought within the New Testament. The course encourages critical reflection on the relevance of Paul’s message for contemporary Christian life and ministry, fostering both scholarly understanding and practical application.
By the end of the course, students are expected to have a comprehensive grasp of the content, context, and enduring impact of Paul’s letters, enabling them to engage thoughtfully with the New Testament and its ongoing theological and spiritual significance.
