Xtend Education 2020 summer engineering design volunteering opportunity

[Student volunteer]
Age: grade 7 - 12
Time: July 6th - Aug. 17th
Requirement: has interest in engineering design, likes hands-on project, loves research and thinking
Introduction: Form a group of 3-5 people. Under the guidance of a mentor, design and build an engineering solution for a given problem, understand the principles of engineering design processes, learn about project management, improve skills of application, creativity and team working.

[Mentor opportunity]
Requirement: Has an engineering background (engineer, technician, college/university students of an engineering program). Passionate about engineering design and have prior experiences in project designing.

Process:
1. Registration: Every student participant is required to fill a survey about your abilities and interests; Mentors please email your resume to: [email protected]. Please fill out your emails for future communication purposes.

2. We will screen your background, abilities, and interests, and will divide the selected student participants and mentors into groups. Selected participants will receive an invitation to the orientation session.

3. Attend the orientation session for more detailed instructions. Note that for security reasons, we require that all participants have their camera open for the online orientation and meetings.
