Oakwood Academy

The last day of school was a wonderful celebration of all that our students accomplished this year.

Students were recognized with certificates, families joined in the festivities, and everyone enjoyed a visit from the ice cream truck. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and pride as we reflected on a year of growth and achievement.

A day on the farm is always full of opportunities to learn, explore, and connect.

During their visit to Downey’s Farm, students enjoyed hands on experiences, explored the farm environment, and spent time connecting with their peers and staff. Field trips like these encourage curiosity while creating lasting memories outside the classroom.

Creativity was on full display as students took part in a watercolour painting workshop led by

Using a variety of materials, they explored different watercolour techniques while learning about the tools and processes used by professional artists.

Students experimented with colour, texture, and application methods to create their own technique sheets before putting their new knowledge into a final artwork.

Activities like this encourage self-expression, creativity, and confidence while giving students the opportunity to learn directly from experienced artists.

Running, jumping, cheering each other on, track and field day brought plenty of energy and excitement to the field!

Students worked together, followed directions, and enjoyed an afternoon of soccer baseball filled with teamwork, movement, and fun with peers and staff.
