Ramadan is a sacred month wherein innumerable blessings are bestowed, and the extent of one's preparation significantly influences the benefits derived from it. This Seminar aims to help us prepare both inwardly and outwardly to receive the maximum benefit during this auspicious month.

Scholars of Tafsir state that one of the meanings of “His light is like” refers to the Prophet’s heart ﷺ. Imam al-Baghawi quotes that Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him) asked Ka‘b al-Ahbar about this verse. He said, “This is a similitude Allah gives of His Prophet ﷺ. The niche is his chest, the crystal is his heart, and the lamp within is Prophethood.”

It's been such a blessing to watch the Al-Maqasid Seminary grow from its infancy into a solid two year program (and this is just the beginning, in shaʾ Allah).

We are pleased to announce that we are now enrolling students at Al-Maqasid's full-time seminary program for the 2024-2025 school year.

We invite you to join us on this sacred learning journey towards unlocking the meanings of the Quran, the teachings of our beloved Prophet ﷺ, and accessing the rich Islamic scholarly tradition.

Currently, our Seminary’s full-time program consists of two years of study:
• Year 1 - Classical Arabic: This year of study focuses on achieving a level of fluency in the Arabic language such that a student is prepared to study traditional texts in Arabic
• Year 2 - Foundational Islamic Sciences: In Year 2, students will continue their study of Arabic to attain greater fluency in the language while also studying the foundational Islamic sciences
