🌟 AN EXCITING NEW ADDITION TO MS. BAILEY’S HOME DAYCARE! 🌟
I’m so excited to share another wonderful learning opportunity for our children! ❤️
Along with our regular visits to Woodlands Library, where the children explore books, develop early literacy skills and become comfortable in a library environment, we will now also be visiting the EarlyON Centre at McBride Public School! 🎉📚🏫
This morning we had our first visit, from 9:00–10:30 AM, and the children had such a wonderful time!
What makes this especially exciting is that EarlyON gives our children the opportunity to experience a school-based early-years environment while they are still very young. They get to walk into a school, use cubbies, put away their belongings, explore activity centres, participate in circle time, create art, enjoy sensory activities, meet other children and educators, and practise everyday routines in a group setting.
For our little ones, this is about so much more than simply having somewhere new to play. 🌱
Every visit gives them another opportunity to develop independence, confidence, social skills, communication, self-help skills and familiarity with group routines. When the time eventually comes to begin kindergarten, the idea of walking into a school, joining a group, following routines and exploring a classroom will already feel much more familiar.
And for children who may eventually attend McBride Public School, there is an added benefit they are already becoming familiar with the school building and environment before their first day of kindergarten. 💛
At Ms. Bailey’s Home Daycare, I want our children to experience the world beyond the four walls of daycare. Between our library visits, parks, outdoor experiences and now EarlyON, they are learning that their community is also their classroom. 🌎✨
Today was just our first visit, and judging by those happy little faces, it certainly won’t be our last! 🥰
