I’m beyond grateful and proud to share that Scott Children & Youth Services (SCYS) Inc. has been honored with a Canadian Choice Award in Cognitive Health.

This recognition means more to me than words can express.

For over 21 years, I’ve poured my heart into supporting children, youth, and families—especially those navigating autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, behavior challenges, sexual/child abuse, emotional wellness. The work has never been easy, but it has always been meaningful.

SCYS Inc. was built on compassion, dedication, and a belief that every child deserves understanding, patience, and the right support to thrive. This award represents every late night, every family I’ve walked alongside, every program created, and every moment spent advocating for underserved communities.

To the families who trusted me, the partners who believed in my vision, and the communities that welcomed Scott Children & Youth Services (SCYS) Inc – THANK YOU. This award is not just mine; it belongs to all of you.

I’m excited to continue expanding services, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact in even bigger ways.

Grateful. Humbled. Motivated.

Black History Month isn’t just about where we’ve been — it’s about who we continue to be.

I come from a people who turned pain into purpose, struggle into strength, and survival into legacy.

We are people who were told “no” and still built everything.

Being Black is not just resistance — it’s brilliance.
It’s creativity, faith, laughter, rhythm, intellect, tenderness, and unmatched resilience.

It’s carrying ancestors in my blood and possibilities in my hands.

I honor those who came before me,
I celebrate those standing beside me,
and I protect the joy, growth, and freedom of those coming after me.

Black history lives in me.
Black excellence moves through me.
And I am proud — always. 🖤✊🏾
