Today, we remember 🧡 Truth and Reconciliation Day is an opportunity to honour the children who never returned home and the Survivors, families, and communities who continue to carry this history.

For those of us working in early childhood education, reconciliation asks us to look closely at how we teach, what we centre, whose voices we make space for, and how our everyday choices can contribute to meaningful change.

This isn’t work that belongs to one day. It’s an ongoing commitment to learning, listening, reflecting, and taking action.

Double great news this week 💛 We’re so excited to share that The ECC is growing again. Please join us in welcoming the newest member of The Early Childhood Coach team, Alyssa Marion!

Alyssa is an RECE, pedagogical leader, facilitator, post-secondary instructor, and coach with 12+ years of experience in the early years sector.

As our Pedagogical Leadership & Francophone Community Specialist, she brings a thoughtful, strengths-based approach to helping educators and leaders slow down, get curious, and explore the why behind their practice.

She’s also bringing that perspective to three new professional learning experiences focused on pedagogical practice, reflective leadership, and Francophone identity and belonging.
