Fresh from the farm, our own homegrown pumpkins. No kids catering company can say they do it fresher.....NO ONE!!

These pumpkins have all gone out to our customers this week for decoration just in time for Halloween.

As well our fresh butternut squash is used for our famous, sweet and tasty butternut squash soup. Again no other kids catering company can say they do ti fresher!

Whe you grow your own you know what you are getting. This is what Organic Kids Catering is all about.

So here we are about a week away from opening our new kitchen location that will be state of the art. This is actually the second of 3 other locations we are opening. We uploaded a teaser picture for everyone to see.

Our new location was built for not only our needs but for the needs of customers and the public.

Organic Kids Catering will be the first company to have the following in regards to food being served to Childcares and Schools. No one else can say they do this........... yet but we are sure we will get copied because that tends to happen to us a lot when you are the leader.

1- A live feed so that people can actually the food being prepared each morning for our customers.This is what we call being transparent.
2- A totally separate production kitchen that is on its own to insure that there is no cross contamination. This allows us to be more secure in food safety and dietary restrictions.
3- A totally independent hot kitchen and an independent cold kitchen to insure temperature controls and proper food safety.
4-All new state of the art equipment along with the best in environmental controls to help us reduce our impact on the environment. Whether it is installing on demand hot water, motion detector lights, using fans to recirculate hot or cold air to even using remote controlled thermostats. Every little bit helps and these are some of the ways we are going to be reducing our impact for the future.

This however is the best part of our new location. We will be the first kids catering company to have an independent room that can accommodate up to 60 people which will allow us to conduct cooking classes, seminars, events or healthy birthday parties. This new venture will also help educate and train people to instil good, healthy eating habits using Organic and Local foods lead by our team here at Organic Kids Catering. Our classes and seminars will be available for everyone, not just Organic Kids Clients.
We will also be allowing Organic Kids Catering customers to use the facility at no charge to allow them to conduct their own training seminars for their individual locations if they do have the space to do this.

We haven't spoken in a while and here is why.

1-We have been extremely busy building our new state of the art 15,000 sq foot kitchen. 2nd location of 3.

2- We were starting up for the new school year and the "new" 2000 kids lunches we added to our customer base.

3- We had to catch up from our waiting list. Yes we had a 6 week waiting list that is now down to 2 weeks. Can ANYONE say they have that.

In the coming weeks we will be launching our new menus which will be better than ever. Our new snack menu that will be bigger and better than any other.

Why are we better than any other children's catering company? It's very simple....... we offer more choice, better foods, healthy options but more importantly KIDS LOVE US. Here are some more reasons why you should try us.

1- We deliver your hot food hot and your cold food cold. Did you know that we are the ONLY catering company to have temperature controlled containers for both hot and cold food delivery. No other catering company does. We deliver all the children's food in separate hot boxes and separate cold boxes both with temperature controls. We use modern hot plates for our hot food and cold temperature coolers for our cold foods. Hot stays above 65 degrees celsius and the cold food always remains between 0-4 degrees. Other caters simply use totes and throw in a couple of ice packs. NO ONE provides better food safety than Organic Kids Catering, no one.

2- We have a TRIPLE "P" POLICY. Place, Put Away and Pick up. This means we do all the work. Upon Delivery we PLACE everything in its rightful place. We PUT everything away, both hot and cold and take and record temperatures. And third, we PICK UP everything to not leave anything behind. This is what having your own uniformed drivers do. Did you know that other catering companies simply "dump" and leave. This means cold items just sit there for hours without proper safety measures and get warm. As well the hot food stays there and just gets cold.

3- We have our own farm producing the freshest, local vegetables based on organic farming principles. We can confidently say that again, NO ONE has this but ORGANIC KIDS CATERING.

4- Standard Organic options such as milk each and everyday. Grilled vegetables, Organic Beverages, Triple AAA Fresh Beef and Grain fed, Air Chilled Fresh Chicken just to name a few.

5-Larger portion sizes and better menu options. Not the same old, same old items everyday that other children's companies do. Items such as Chicken Breast, Whole Grain Organic Pasta, Potato, Frozen and Hot Snacks. No ONE offers what we do, NO ONE.

We found this interesting article today concerning Nutella. Did you also know that there are so called "safe" products that do not contain nuts but are just as bad.

Products such as "No Nut Butter, Wow Butter" and so on are made from almost the same products.

Nutella Ingredients.
Sugar, Modified Palm Oil, Hazelnuts, Cocoa, Skim Milk Powder, Whey Powder, Soy and/or Sunflower Lecithin, Vanillin.

Wow Butter Ingredients
Toasted Soy, Soy Oil, Granulated Cane Sugar, Monoglyceride (from sustainable palm oil, prevents oil separation) and Sea Salt.

Is Nutella destroying the environment? France’s ecology minister, Ségolène Royal, has blamed Nutella, the popular chocolate and hazelnut spread, for damaging the environment.

What effect are we having on what we are saying and what we do. Our competitors are starting to change their menus in regards to what we say and trying to be similar. Unfortunately however there is only 1 ORGANIC KIDS CATERING. Could it be that they are doing this in reaction to truths that we say. We think so.
