Qiuqi is an international student from Shanghai in her third year. She first became passionate about teaching when she completed an internship in a primary school in her home city in China📚

She was working in a class with mixed level students from Kindergarten to grade five. “The students taught me so much. I watched how they helped each other and collaborated in class. I was so excited by their creativity and curiosity”📝

Qiuqi will be applying to her Master’s of Teaching degree at OISE in her fourth year and she envisions a future contributing to the field of Education. As she puts it, “I have found my calling” 📖

The picture is on Qiuai on her first day and she had already learned all the names of her students!

Congratulations to all the young, creative female founders sharing their business ideas at UTM’s Pitch with a Twist.  What an impressive group of finalists. Nice to see EDS design thinking students in attendance as well.

A lovely lunch and roundtable discussion with Professor Mary-Paule Lory, French-speaking students, and students enrolled in French programs who are considering a career in teacher education📚
