The Philosophy Academic Society is looking for Junior Executives!

Are you interested in being a part of the Philosophy Academic Society?

Your duties will include meetings with the executive team, first and second-year outreach, faculty facilitation and professional development through the society, and altogether being a part of our team’s initiative to create an exciting and engaging philosophy community here at UTM.

How to apply: Send an email to [email protected] with your name, year, POSt/program of interest, your availability before September 27th, and a short response on why YOU should be a junior executive.

Can technology make us better people? And should it? Are we ready for the 'morality pill' or the improvement of our character through genetic engineering? Will this help protect us against imminent perils like nuclear weapons and climate change?

The Philosophy Academic Society invites you to join UofT graduate student Chris Longley, as he walks us through the concept of moral bioenhancement and the motivations behind it. Following his talk, we will also have time for open discussion on these and related topics!

to an event that we hosted on Halloween night. It featured Dr. Rasmus Larsen giving a talk on evil and psychopathy, followed by a Q&A session. We had over 135 in attendance!
