Meridian Balance Method -Somatic system

In this course, students will be introduced to the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine and will learn palpatory assessment of the major meridians.

Students will study osteopathic manual techniques to treat affected meridians and pathological conditions related to these meridian imbalances using the Meridian Balance Method.

Earlier this week, the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy (SOCO) led a dynamic, hands-on lumbar workshop for the students and alumni of the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy (RCC).

Under the guidance of Dr.Igor Norets and the SOCO team, participants deepened their understanding of lumbar anatomy, explored osteopathic approaches to structural diagnosis, and practiced hands-on techniques including MET, myofascial release, and soft tissue therapy — all aimed at addressing lower back pain.
