Hey UTM! We hope you had a great reading week/exam season!
Today we're going to outline the 4 main skills and experiences that you will gain by participating in a Medical Brigade or TeleBrigade.
You will gain leadership experience by empowering other volunteers with medical knowledge through skill-based volunteering.
Empower local healthcare professionals by creating an infrastructure that will induce long-term growth.
Build cultural competence through empowerment, community buy-ins, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Contribute to sustainable impact by creating replicable systems that maximize impact.
If you are interested in developing these skills and would like to get involved, please reach out to us or visit www.globalbrigades.org

Hey UTM! We hope you had a wonderful start to classes!
Today we're going to give you a little overview of the impact UTMGB has had through the Medical Brigades program since our club was started back in 2016.
In total, we have raised $55,937 in donations, ran 4 successful brigades, and have had 55 volunteers participate. During these brigades, our volunteers collaborated with communities in Honduras to help provide consultations with medical professionals and to deliver public health workshops. They also helped out with collecting electronic patient records for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
If you would like to make an impact, please reach out to us on instagram or visit www.globalbrigades.org
