Vianney Academy Camp Schedule for Emerging Readers

9:00 AM - Circle Time | Phonics & Phonemic Awareness

9:30 AM - Fine motor skills activities

10:00 AM - Free Play/snack

10:30 AM - Structured Literacy Activities/Games

11:00 AM - Outdoor Play: walk to the local park

12:00 PM - Lunch & Storytime

12:30 PM - Math activities and games

1:30 PM - Outdoor organized Water Play/Swimming (weather permitting) or indoor organized play and games

3:00 PM - Dismissal

3:00 to 4:00 - after camp program - campers can participate in organized or free play activities. Additional $20 charge

Please note we understand that not all campers may be able to fully participate in every activity. Campers will never be forced to participate but will always be gently encouraged and supported to join in at their own comfort level.

We typically have three activity stations set up in the classroom to provide a variety of options and accommodate different interests and needs. These may include activities such as:
Playing with toys on the carpet
Puzzles and cognitive games
Crafts and colouring
Sensory activities

Our program is designed to be flexible and responsive to each student’s individual needs, and we strive to create a supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all campers.

I can't believe we are having a second snow day this month. Many of you know I dont like to cancel school because of poor weather conditions. However, today I believe it is unavoidable. I wish you all a happy snow day full of snow forts, snowmen, and snow angels. See you all back in class tomorrow. Karen

Yesterday I had the opportunity to sit back and read this amazing book Life on the Bridge by Kaelynn Partlow. I highly recommend this book for parents, teachers, and therapist.
