Michelle John (Legal Office Administration '90) and Derrick Ross (Business '86) have a lot to be celebrating this week as they await for the Premier's Awards, which are taking place on November 18.

John and Ross are among seven Sheridan Alumni that were nominated for a Premier's Award. John has been nominated to the Community Services category for her passionate and commitment to ensuring community safety through education. Ross has been nominated to the Business category for his support of the Canadian music industry.

The Premier's Awards honour the contributions of college graduates to Ontario and throughout the world and is hosted by Colleges Ontario.

Sheridan's EDGE Entrepreneurship Hub has partnered with RBC to offer youth funding ($2000) mentorship, a virtual community and network through the Social Impact Catalyst powered by RBC Future Launch program.

This program is for entrepreneurial youth looking to move promising ideas into action, and participants receive support through mentorship, expertise and funding. The theme this year is climate change and environmental sustainability.

With dreams of becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Dania Kamal began her journey as a student in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting Program before graduating this past summer. As a student, she was an active member of the PSB community and participated in clubs, academic programs, and became a BBA Peer Mentor. On November 10, Dania will be taking the virtual stage at the Fall Convocation ceremony to address the Class of 2021 as the PSB Valedictorian. Congratulations Dania, we are of you!

Calling all first-year or second-year students enrolled in the Marketing or Advertising diploma programs! If you are returning to your studies in Fall 2021, we want you to be part of our Ontario Colleges' Marketing Competition (OCMC) 2021 team!
