By learning and embracing our languages and traditions, we build bridges across generations and strengthen the bonds within our community. At Kawun Online Language School, we are a team of passionate Afghan educators and professionals committed to delivering high-quality, culturally-enriched education to Afghan children and youth living in North America and beyond. With extensive expertise in Pashto, Dari (Farsi), Mathematics, and Quranic Studies, our mission is to help young learners stay connected to their language, faith, and cultural identity while thriving in their new, diverse communities. Our Vision
To be a trusted educational home for Afghan families abroad, where children can strengthen their cultural roots, embrace their heritage, and develop essential academic and life skills for the future. Cultural and Linguistic Education
In today’s multicultural environments, many Afghan children grow up predominantly communicating in English, risking the gradual loss of their native languages. Through interactive lessons, storytelling, and cultural activities, students not only improve their language skills but also deepen their connection to Afghan history, traditions, and values—ensuring that their identity remains a proud part of who they are. Quranic and Islamic Studies
Faith is an integral pillar of Afghan culture, and we are honored to support families in nurturing their children’s spiritual education. Our comprehensive Quranic Studies program focuses on Tajweed, Tafsir, and Quran memorization (Hifz). More than just recitation, we aim to inspire students with the moral, ethical, and spiritual lessons found within the Quran and Hadith, guiding them to apply these teachings with wisdom and compassion in their daily lives, both within their homes and in broader society. Mathematics in Native Languages
Recognizing the challenges faced by young immigrants when learning core academic subjects in a new language, we offer Mathematics instruction in Pashto and Dari. This bilingual approach ensures students build a solid mathematical foundation without language barriers, providing them with the confidence and skills to transition smoothly to English-based math curricula in the future. Through this method, we ensure no child falls behind due to linguistic obstacles. Our Commitment
At Kawun Online Language School, we are more than just an educational institution — we are a community committed to preserving Afghan culture, nurturing young talent, and fostering academic excellence. We believe that by strengthening language, faith, and foundational academic skills, we empower children to embrace their dual identities with pride, bridging cultural divides and thriving as confident, capable members of society in North America and beyond. We welcome you to be a part of our growing Kawun family — where culture, character, and community come together.
