A good sketch is only the beginning. ✏️

When it comes to realistic drawing, understanding where to go darker, where to stay lighter, and how values create depth can completely change the way your drawing looks.

That’s exactly what we’ll explore in my Realistic Drawing & Pencil Shading Course — learning how to draw different subjects freehand, step by step, understand what you’re observing, and create realistic shading with confidence.

🎨 Ages 7+ | Teens | Adults

Whether you’re beginning your drawing journey or want to strengthen your existing skills, you’re welcome to learn with me.

Oil painting looks complicated… until you know what actually matters. 🎨

So many colours, mediums, brushes and supplies can make oils feel intimidating—but you really don’t need to own everything to begin.

A few essential colours, the right surface, brushes you’re comfortable with, and basic mediums are enough to start exploring how beautifully oil paint behaves.

My biggest tip? Learn the medium first. Build your collection later.

And that little 4×4 canvas in the video? 👀 I have something planned for it. Stay tuned for the next Reel!

Canada & USA Parents — Online Art Classes for Kids Ages 6+

Can a 6-year-old really learn art through an online class?

Yes — when the class is designed around how young children learn.

For young beginners, I break each drawing into clear, manageable steps, demonstrate one step at a time, and give students enough time to follow. During the live class, I observe their work, guide them when needed, and help them understand how to draw rather than simply copy a finished picture.

At this age, the goal isn’t perfection. It is to build strong drawing foundations, observation skills, confidence, and gradually encourage independent drawing.

My live online classes are kept small so students can receive guidance and interact throughout the session.

Day 70 - Getting realistic skin tones isn’t just about choosing the right colors—it’s about how you layer and blend them. 🎨

One of the most common mistakes is blending too quickly without first understanding the light, shadow, and value changes. This can leave the skin looking patchy, harsh, or flat.

Instead, build your values gradually from dark to light, create smooth transitions, and work in layers. Your first layer doesn’t have to be your final result. ✨

Skin tones are never just one color 🎨

The key is learning to observe the subtle changes in color, value, warmth, blush and highlights — and then building them gradually with the right layers.

This light skin tone study completes my little oil pastel skin tone series, and I hope these studies are helping you understand how differently each skin tone can be approached.

Now I’m curious… 👀

Does your artwork ever look correct but still feel like something is missing? The answer may be in the fundamentals.

The elements of art—line, shape, form, texture, space, value, and colour—are the ingredients. The principles of art guide how those ingredients are balanced and arranged. Together, they create composition—the complete way an artwork comes together.

Think of it like cooking: elements are the ingredients, principles are the recipe, and composition is the finished dish. 🎨

Save this beginner art guide, and tell me which principle you would like me to explain next!

20,000 Art Lovers 🎨🥳✨

This milestone feels very personal to me.

When I started my 100 Days, 100 Reels challenge, my biggest goal wasn’t simply gaining followers. I knew the value of what I teach, and my students knew it too — but for a long time, I struggled with one thing: reaching people who didn’t know I existed.

So I decided to show up. To teach, share what I know, and hopefully inspire someone to pick up a pencil and realize, “Maybe I can draw too.”

Today, 20,000 of you are here. 🥹❤️

I know this is only the beginning. I’m nowhere near where I want MoonMind Art School to be, but reaching even this point once felt incredibly difficult — so my husband, my little one and I celebrated this small win together. 🎂

And I have to say this — so much of what you see behind MoonMind is possible because of my husband. Through every idea, doubt and late night, he has been the person behind the scenes helping me keep going. ❤️

My dream is bigger than filling my classes. I want to make drawing feel approachable, teach the importance of strong fundamentals, and inspire more people to create — with confidence, not shortcuts.

And somehow, this milestone became even more special…

On the same day we reached 20K, the MoonMind Art School Android app officially went LIVE! 📱✨

My students can now access their purchased courses and continue learning anytime, anywhere.

Two milestones. One very special day. ❤️

Thank you to every student, follower and art lover who has been part of this journey.

Learn with passion. Create with confidence.
