“The best of people are those who bring the most benefit to others” - Prophet Muhammad SAW

OGS students participated in the Terry Fox Run yesterday in order to do their part in raising awareness about cancer research.

Apart from that, students raised funds for various service initiatives as part of our Islamic obligation to serve the needs of others and rise to care for others.

We wrapped up the first week of school with great reminders for our students Alhamdulillah!

Aligning with the theme of this year, OGHS students attended DEARQ (Drop Everything And Read Quran) assembly, geared towards strengthening their connection with the Quran.

Across the grades, the Friday khutbah reiterated the essence of beneficial knowledge acquired for the sake of Allah SWT, serving as important reminder of our purpose of life.

ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ

‘Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created’ (Quran, 96:1)

Keeping our Islamic obligation of seeking knowledge that brings us closer to Allah SWT at the core of our planning, we spent the last week preparing for our students to experience an exciting new academic year Insha’Allah.

With informative sessions for staff, complete with managing AI in education, supporting students in classrooms, team building activities as well as exciting structural additions to our facility, we aim to enhance our students’ learning and growth in all aspects of their lives.

May Allah SWT bless the new year with beneficial knowledge for our students. Ameen

As the new academic year approaches, we ask Allah SWT to grant our fifth graduating cohort the best in their new chapter in life.

We pray that their tarbiyyah at OGHS helps them navigate through their post secondary journey, where they acquire great successes while keeping true to their Islamic morals and identity. Ameen
