Seeing that the 104th game is being played today, here is a little CFL trivia: former Ottawa Rough Rider Russ Jackson was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in 2012. What position did Jackson play, and how many Grey Cup victories did he earn during his football career?

Our school has long served our community in more ways than education. We strive to promote global stewardship that starts with our local families and communities.

This is our third year delivering Boxes of Hope to needy families in our community. This year Peel has received over 600 Syrian refugees. Our high school has received approximately 115 Syrian refugee students since November 2015. Approximately 78% of these students come from families that have been stationed at refugee camps over the last five years. Our enrolment is ongoing, and we expect another wave of refugee students in mid-December.

I have attached the demographics of a family, in the hopes that our alumni might collectively sponsor a family this holiday season.

Our First Alumni Dinner was held on May 6, 2016. It was a huge success! We welcomed alumni from the graduating classes of 1957-2015! A huge thank you to Joanne Jennings for taking the photos and allowing us to upload them. If you have memories of the night you wish to share, please post/tag us TL Kennedy SS.

What a fun and festive night it was. Thank you to all those that came out to support our first Alumni Dinner, both in person and in spirit.

It was a pleasure to welcome back former principals, staff and students to walk the halls of TLK once more and to initiate our first recipients to our newly installed Hall of Fame. Thank you again for a moving and motivational address by Prof. Ryan Kennedy to TLK alumni of all generations. As well, it was an honour to have Robert Aitken, world renowned flautist, close the evening with a lovely piece by Debussy.

With your generosity towards TLK swag, the Silent Auction and proceeds from the tickets, we can start up our Student Scholarship Fund, which should apply towards graduates for this year. The TL spirit of community and family lives on. Another TLK Legacy has begun.

We're about a week away from our big event, if you haven't purchased your tickets, get them soon!
