- Officially represent the students
- Promote and achieve the common interests of the students
- Encourage academic, social, and career related support for the students
- Maintain open lines of communication between the students and the department’s faculty and staff, as well as maintain communication between the students themselves
- Encourage faculty and student interaction outside of the formal lecture, tutorial, and lab setting

To the MCS community,
---
Given the recent updates provided by the university, we have decided that the best course of action for The Show would be to postpone the event. The health, safety and well being of our community is our top priority and it would not be responsible for us to continue moving forward with the event at this time.
---
We are tentatively planning to host our event at the end of the exam period, however, we will await the university’s official statement regarding how exams will move forward early next week. We will continue to monitor the situation, and any updates regarding The Show will be provided.
---
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused in this unfortunate situation. We thank you all for your interest in being a part of the UTM MCS community, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the future.
