COOKSMART is a hands-on, curriculum-based cooking program - for students from kindergarten to grade 12 - designed to build kitchen confidence and help kids learn how to make healthy meal and snack choices - at school. Focusing on a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, students prepare, enjoy and clean-up all while learning and practicing kitchen safety in a a group environment. At the end of each session, teachers are provided math and curriculum resources based on the COOKSMART experience, and students are encouraged to share their new skills at home.

We’re bringing hands-on learning into Ontario classrooms through practical skills that students can use for life! 👩‍🍳🌱
Our programs go beyond the classroom by helping students build confidence and learn through doing:

🌱 Gardening Skills — growing food, sustainability & connecting with the environment
💛 Social & Emotional Skills — teamwork, communication, confidence & self-awareness
💰 Food & Financial Literacy — budgeting, food costs, smart shopping & making informed choices
At COOKSMART, we believe some of the most important lessons happen when students can get their hands involved, ask questions, make mistakes, and try again.

Week 3 of Summer Camp is officially in the books! 👩‍🍳☀️
What an amazing week at both our Oakville and Port Credit locations! From hands-on cooking and baking to learning about nutrition and financial literacy, our campers have been building real-life skills while making new friends and unforgettable memories.
This week also marks an exciting milestone as all three of our camp locations are now officially open! 🎉 We can’t wait to welcome even more campers and spend the rest of the summer cooking, learning, laughing, and creating so many more memories together.
