8 years ago I woke up and put together the cheese version of my wedding cake. We enjoyed both this and an actual cake that day.

Today was the first of the series of Meet the Maker sessions hosted by SweetCheeses! at the Elora Farmers' Market, so Ramon (the Stonetown Cheese maker) and I spent the morning chatting cheese with the local community. Perfect weather, friendly crowds, and two more events to look forward to this summer, where you can meet some different cheesemakers. Next up, July 25 for Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese and August 22 for Golspie Dairy
Celebrate the season by visiting your local markets!

Last night was a lot of fun. Nick from Olympic Cheese and I showcased a selection of Ontario artisan cheeses at the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation Celebration of Food & Wine fundraiser. The weather was absolutely perfect, The crowds truly loved all the cheese, and we both had a great time supporting this charitable event.
Cheeses featured were: Gold from Bonnechere from Lavender Rose from and Heritage Cheddar from all of which paired marvelously with the wines being served.
Great night, great cheeses, great wines, great cause. Many thanks to Nick for including me in the adventure.

So, last Friday I made my debut as a featured speaker on the SIAL CANADA Dairy Stage. I shared my insights into resources for cheese education and training, with a range of ideas to suit people with different learning styles and desired outcomes.
Many thanks to SIAL for giving me the stage time.
