✨Jerk Chicken, Double Doubles, Rice and Peas, and Jamaican Patties🍗🍚✨

🎤This Monday BSA held their annual Cookout in the front foyer, as the smell of savoury chicken and the warmth of double doubles to the touch everyone enjoyed the culture we brought.💥💥

🙏Big thanks to Ms. Grover for supplying is with the food and shout out to Ms. Francis for helping to organize the music and the set up, we are forever grateful.

💥Panthers, how many ‘Booms’ was this year’s BHM Assembly?? 💥💥💥

This years assembly was amazing, and surely filled with talent. From the brilliant MCs, Bree and Romeo, to the heart warming opening performance from Romeo and Idunnu, Cawthra’s black excellence never fails to shine. 🎤🎹

Later we were joined by the Lee family, which held their presentation on black excellence. Their jokes brought laughter and their singing and dancing left many in awe, ready to empower others within our society. ✊🏿

Big thanks to the stage crew, Ms.Tiller, Ms.Francis, the Lee family and our BSA community for making this a possibility. We hope that all that attended had as much fun as the BSA community while planning this event! Happy BHM Cawthra and remember that you matter!! 🖤🖤

Hey Panthers did you know we had a spoken poetry workshop!? 🙋 🙋‍♀️

On this day everyone learned more about the history, art and impact of spoken word. Big thanks to the presenters who came out on this day to support our BSA, and share their art with us.

This week our BSA hosted black-focused workshops everyday!🧢🪮

Today we were visited by a professional breakdancer to learn this new style of dancing. The room was filled with laughter and every student left with smile on their face.☺️

Members of BSA took to the streets of Brampton to display the plaques written by students in Peel to unearth and uncover the history of racism but to also uplift the black communities in Canada.
