Is Kumon tutoring? 🤔 What’s the difference between Kumon and traditional tutoring?

One of the biggest differences is how we approach the learning gap.

If a Grade 5 student is struggling with fractions, we don’t simply teach fractions. We look at the foundational math skills that come before it — multiplication, division, number sense and more.

Because math is sequential. One skill builds on another.

At Kumon, students work at their just-right instructional level, building accuracy, fluency, mastery and confidence before moving forward.

The goal isn’t simply to help a child with today’s math problem.

The goal is to help them become an independent learner. ❤️
