Process Art for Toddlers 🎨🖌

Process art is art that doesn't necessarily make a product. The activity is about the process and not the end product. I truly believe process art benefits toddlers by allowing them to freely create. It helps build their self-esteem, fine motor skills and is a great calming activity for them to engage in.

A throwback to 2 weeks ago when my babies graduated from Auntie's preschool 🤍🤍🤍

This group of kids are truly special. They were really the best group I could ever ask for...especially as my very first group of children when I started my home daycare journey ❤️ I learned so much from them and I cannot wait to see where their own little journey takes them. Their futures are so bright and I miss them terribly 🥺

The children loved finding their photo (colouring page) of them with their mama's 🥰 they were so excited to decorate and colour it. They also worked on tracing letters.

We also did finger print art and included a heart warming poem. Something special for all the FS mama's to remember how little they once were 🥰

Yesterday and today was "Bring Your Favourite Toy" for Show & Share day 😊

The children picked their favourite toy to show and share with their friends during circle time.

The children also get the opportunity to ask their friend a question about their toy as well.

Show & Share days are great for turn taking, developing confidence, and effective communication skills.

For St. Patrick's day festivities, we wore green, explored art, and sensory bins.

The children enjoyed our pot of gold & rainbow craft 🌈 I love how unique each child's artwork is.

It's art like this that truly shows each child's interest and creativity. With a little verbal assistance from me, the rest is up to them on how many gold coins & coloured bingo dabbers they wanted to add.

Tip: I used a pencil to dot lines for the rainbow structure and asked the children to follow the lines with their paint dabbers. Then once it was dried, I erased the lines!
