Tutor Without Borders Inc.

Hello there! My name is Minou (HBSc. & MEd. Candidate, University of Toronto) and I am the founder of Tutor Without Borders Inc. - an international venture to assist students around the world one by one. Classes will be conducted online via Zoom; however, I do ensure students receive the same attention and resources as they would during in person classes, as I am well aware online learning can be difficult. I tailor my teaching style to each student by assessing their learning style and building great rapport. Classes are charged at $40/ hour. Here's a little bit about me: I studied and majored in Psychology and Biology for Health Sciences at University of Toronto, as I wished to pursue medicine at the time in order to follow my passion to help people. I soon realized there are many other roads that would lead to fulfilling this aspiration. I never treat or teach my students as a teacher, rather I always tutor and help them as a friend, and I’d say that’s what makes me different. I ensure an inclusive environment, and encourage my students to ask questions regardless of how “dumb” they think the question may be. No judgement zone here! I have always loved and enjoyed working with children and teens and by aiding students across the globe, I hope to instil and encourage a love for learning and infuse my classes with positivity and a mindful attitude:)

I have been tutoring for the past 8 years at centres including Kumon and Learning Minds. I have diverse teaching experience in tutoring students from unique backgrounds including those from China who wish to learn English as a second language. I have also tutored students with learning disabilities (ADHD and autism), as well as those being home schooled.
