STOPR's First Time Rider Safety Program is being offered at 8 locations across Peel Region on Saturday, August 29 with one-hour sessions between 9:00am โ€“ 12:00pm. This program is designed to familiarize young children, their parents and caregivers with school buses and school bus safety.

DPCDSB announces its Top Ontario Scholars for the 2025-2026 school year!

Nolan Barreto from Loyola Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga is the board's highest-achieving Ontario Scholar, earning a remarkable 99.7% average. He will attend the University of Toronto this fall to study Engineering Science.

In Brampton, Davneet Kaur Brar and Michael Francisco from St. Edmund Campion Catholic Secondary School tied as the top local scholars with an average of 99.3%. Davneet is enrolled in the Schulich Bachelor of Business Administration program at York University, while Michael will study Chemistry at the University of Toronto.

Victoria Yefymenko from St. Michael Catholic Secondary School is the top Ontario Scholar for the Bolton, Caledon, and Orangeville areas with a 99% average. She is set to study Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Waterloo.

Congratulations to Nolan, Davneet, Michael, Victoria, and all Ontario Scholars for their remarkable achievements.
