These sessions provide an opportunity to:

Flags at DPCDSB schools and facilities will be flown at half-staff from September 25 through September 27 in observance of Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day, which is observed this year on Sunday, September 27. This day is an opportunity to express appreciation for the dedication of police and peace officers who lost their lives in the line of duty and to offer condolences to the surviving families.

September 21-25 is Truth and Reconciliation Week. During this week, we reflect on and learn about the impact of residential schools, remember the children lost to the residential school system, and honour Survivors and their families.

This week, members of the Brampton Professional Fire Fighters Association met with DPCDSB's senior leadership team to present a generous donation of 75 backpacks filled with school supplies, which will be distributed to students across our schools.

This week, DPCDSB secondary schools hosted the Get Ready program for incoming Grade 9 students - a chance to tour their new school, meet future teachers and connect with peers before beginning classes next Tuesday.
At St. Joseph C.S.S., over 400 students attended and took part in the fun and interactive orientation and reviewed key concepts in literacy, numeracy and learning strategies.

STOPR's First Time Rider Safety Program is being offered at 8 locations across Peel Region on Saturday, August 29 with one-hour sessions between 9:00am – 12:00pm. This program is designed to familiarize young children, their parents and caregivers with school buses and school bus safety.
