Digital Photography

This introductory photography course is the perfect place for budding photographers and artists alike who wish to master what digital photography and editing can do for their creative process. This is a technology supplied program where each student will use iPads and the Photoshop Express application. Students who wish to use their own device are encouraged to do so, with the Photoshop Express app downloaded prior to the course start date.

Experimental Fashion

Throughout the online Experimental Fashion Illustration course, students will engage in exploratory sketchbook work leading up to an illustrated collection. This 5 week session will focus on rendering different types of textiles, and use watercolours to communicate various patterns, textures and silhouettes. Through colour, shape and line exploration, students will learn how to tell a story through textiles. Materials are included

! Looking to learn Procreate hacks to level up your digital drawing skills? Join VAM's introductory course, for teens ages 13-18, which shows you how the Procreate app can enhance your digital artwork.

Students are encouraged to bring their own iPad with the Procreate app installed and pencil/stylus. A select number of iPads with the Procreate app and Apple pencils will be available for use at VAM only during this course.

Get your construction paper, scissors and love for animals ready as our Visual Art Instructor Minoya shows us how to use colours and shapes to create your own Paper Cut Animal Illustration. You will need coloured construction paper, a pencil, eraser, scissors and a glue stick.

Visual Arts Mississauga is pleased to welcome Guest Artist PUFF Paddy this Fall Season!

PUFF Paddy is a Q***r, Asian-Canadian Artist and Arts Educator. Paddy will be hosting two new and exciting programs for VAM including:

✔️Food for Thought Workshops for Kids, Teens & Families
Food brings people together! Join our Guest Artist PUFF Paddy to create your favourite dishes out of arts and crafts material. In this program, youth will have an opportunity to connect with one another and share their cultural identity, personal stories and/or their passion for cuisine while exploring their creativity. Three sessions will be taking place:
♦️Teen Workshop: Saturday, October 2 at 2 pm
♦️Kids Workshop: October 16 at 2 pm
♦️Family Workshop: October 23 at 2 pm

✔️PUFF Club - Online Program for Teens
Join our Guest Artist PUFF Paddy to explore ideas surrounding self-care, wellness, and social justice as you experiment and express yourself as freely as possible to find your own – important and unique – artistic voice through fun, innovative projects.
