Our Preschool kids went "camping" today! They spent the day at our local campground and had a blast!

What a special day!!

We were so fortunate to have Amanda from RedBull Farms join us this afternoon with some animals for the children to interact with and learn about! What a privilege it is to have such wonderful people in our community put in their time, talents and efforts to enrich the lives of young children!

Busy at work!!

We believe children learn about life through play and their environment. This group of kids spent the morning last Friday working together to fix washed out roads- very similar to what they have been hearing around our community recently! Happy to provide them equipment, space and time to play it out and help them process all the recent events.

They worked together which meant they had the opportunity to problem solve, negotiate and compromise, coordinate plans together and share experiences with one another.

Right before the devastating flood at the beginning of June, we held our first annual Big Machine Exploration Fundraising Event!

We were blown away by the amazing community support that made the event possible, to every family, buisness, organization and community members who brought equipment out for the day , to our face painters, and every volunteer who put in time and efforts to make this day possible- THANK YOU! And thank you to each and everyone of you who came out for the day!

This was a dream a few months ago as our Board of Directors sat brainstorming what type of family friendly events we could bring to our community as we fundraise for the renovations of our new building, and it surpassed our expectations! We are happy to share that we plan to host the event again next year, when our community is recovered from the recent tough times and will be strong than ever. 🚜

SELC will remain closed tomorrow, July 3rd, 2026 and will reopen on Monday, July 6th
