This month’s Seniors Drop-In will feature a variety of board games and card games, making it the perfect opportunity to connect with friends and neighbours, and enjoy a fun afternoon together.

Everyone is welcome. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required. Just stop by for a game, a laugh, and a cup of coffee!

The Seniors Fridays at the Sparrows Nest will take a break for 2 weeks. We’ll be back on the first Friday of September. Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Come on down to the Pioneer Museum here in Mindemoya! On August 18th from 12-3pm we are having a drop in event where you can learn how ice cream was made and other fun activities!

Six ladies came to the Sparrow’s Nest gathering today. We decided to continue on the 14th August but not on the 21st because that’s the day the Providence Bay Fair starts and it will be a busy time for most of us. We hope to see everyone next Friday, the 14th!

We have a lot of beautiful mugs at the Kagawong Market today, a fundraiser for the Mindemoya Old School. They’re chip resistant, they go in the microwave and dishwasher, and best of all, they’re made on Manitoulin!

Last Friday at the Sparrow’s Nest some of us did a bit of zen tangle with Claire Miller. Here are the creative results.

There were seven of us seniors making greeting cards last Friday . We had fun! Many thanks to Julie Reese for leading this activity and providing the materials . These are 3 cards I made. We’ll meet again next Frday, 2 - 4 pm at the Sparrows Nest, all seniors welcome!

You want to send someone a special card? Seniors at the Sparrow's Nest will be special this week. Julie is going to lead us in making new greeting cards. All materials provided. Community members are welcome to come and make your own cards! No charge. Friday July 10, 2 - 4 pm at the Sparrow's Nest in Mindemoya across the road from the hospital. Here's a card that I made back in May.
