Today, September 30, we recognize Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors and their families, and recognize the enduring impacts of residential schools on Indigenous Peoples and communities.
As a place dedicated to preserving and sharing stories of Canada’s past, Country Heritage Park recognizes that reconciliation begins with listening, learning, acknowledging the truth, and taking meaningful action. It is an ongoing responsibility that calls on all of us to confront the harms of the past and present and to support a future grounded in respect, understanding, and reconciliation.
Today and every day, we stand with Indigenous Peoples and remain committed to learning, truth-telling, and meaningful reconciliation.
