It's not only important to ask children questions but also consider how we respond to their answers to questions.

When we come from a mindset of openness and wonder about children's thoughts and ideas, we will approach education with a much more empowering and innovative perspective rather than controlling and predefined.

Reading ability is critical but it's not enough. How can we help learners understand what they are reading?

01/31/2022

Hands-on projects can be a great and fun way to engage learners in learning something new. But it's important to remember that they're not the only way!

Instead try to have an open dialogue with your learner, kind of like how you would talk to a friend if you were explaining to them something new. There will be an exchange of questions, sharing of relatable stories, and expressions of thoughts and feelings (e.g.., what does it feel like, sound like, look like?).

Will you give it a try?

How many times have you heard someone say: "They're wasting time playing! They should be studying instead"? 👋

By understanding and honouring how children learn best, we can be better equipped to empower and inspire our learners.

We love this book because it gives great tips on how to learn (while understanding how the 🧠 processes information). And it was written for a younger audience, so it's a book you can read together!

Were you ever taught learning strategies in school?

When the learning is active, it becomes much more engaging and meaningful.

How important is it to you to use active learning?

Ahhh the dream 😴... Or is it?

We are determined to create and advance learning experiences that empower learners, giving them voice and choice over their learning.

What do you dream about for education?
