Wetaskiwin Minor Basketball Association (WMBA) is a program designed to introduce children in grades 1-6 to the game of basketball. The focus is on skill development, cooperation, sportsmanship, and FUN!

This season will run from April 1 - May 3, 2025.

Practices are once per week, with an option to choose from Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and games on Fridays.

Practice times will be one hours slots within the following time range:

Grades 1 & 2: 5:00 - 6:30
Grades 3 & 4: 6:00 - 7:30
Grades 5 & 6: 7:00 - 8:30

Week 1: Practice April 1,2,3
Week 2: Practice April 8,9,10 / Game April 11
Week 3: No practices due to Easter / Game April 16
Week 4: Practice April 22,23,24 / Game April 25
Week 5: Practice April 29,30, May 1 / Game May 2
Wrap Up Tournament: Saturday, May 3

We intend to run WMBA out of the following three locations this year:

Falun (practices only, games played in Wetaskiwin gyms)
Griffiths-Scott (practices only, games played in Wetaskiwin gyms)
Wetaskiwin School Gyms (practices & games)
(Please note, operation of the program in three locations is dependent on registration numbers and is subject to change pending final registration numbers)

The cost is $70.00, payable online at the time of registration.
