They were few , but they were detemined and they all gave it their best shot! That's right. The WAREABOUTS SPRINGTIME COWBOY/TRAIL CHALLENGE COMPETITION on the 24th May didn't happen as a competition, but 8 riders came out to take on a mighty slick course, in fickle springtime weather. Anyway. How deep was the water?? :)

AMYSTERYTOME aka Tony. A Standardbred -16hh and 10 years old. Rides and drives. Through no fault of his own Tony is SEEKING A NEW CUSTODIAN. A year ago Tony spent some time with me adjusting to driving in the country. He had a good 5 year career racing. So you know his driven skills are above average. This year he is with me to transition him to a riding horse. So far, he is great with obstacle and Cowboy Challenge work, and also trail work. Both solo and riding with company. Tony has a natural trot and canter which makes him an easy transition to a dressage prospect.

NB As I had cancelled the event a FULL REFUND will be e-trf'ed to all who paid. A resheculed date is being discussed, but, it is not going to happen this Sunday. I will keep you informed. It's still drizzling, off and on. Ware Creek's flowing wellbut still a few feet lower than flood levels. A little lower than the 29th July last year......But it's still early 😉

Being a wetter day, the bridges all had water flowing under them. Coda rides all the bridges. This was just before my camera battery ran out. Fortunately Carol and Jane cane to the rescue and pictures were taken. I'll post some, in 'the fullness of time' :) BTW Coda was not in the Barn picture, but he was the one rider I had camera battery for :) He was riding Gabe who belongs to Bev Creed.
