Midland Bay Sailing School

There’s something special about seeing the MBSC students head out onto the Bay with the confidence to take the helm, read the wind and make decisions on the water. By the end of the session, the sailors heading back into the harbour aren’t quite the same ones who left the dock on the first day... We’re proud of everything our sailors and instructors have accomplished this season and grateful to the volunteers and parents who help to make it happen!

Our MBSC Sailing School instructors are never far away. Whether it’s offering a quick tip, helping a sailor through a tricky moment, or just keeping a watchful eye on the water, they’re right there when they’re needed. It’s a big part of what makes learning to sail at MBSC both safe and fun. A big thank you to our coaching team for everything they do to support our sailors on the water!

The CANsail 3 and 4 sailors have been having a blast in some great wind this session!
They have been developing their skills in the Fusion 15 fleet, including trapezing to keep the boats balanced and moving fast. It is great to see their confidence and teamwork out on the water!

Our CANsail 1 and 2 sailors have been making the most of the summer conditions while working on their tacks, gybes and boat-handling skills.

They are building confidence every session and having loads of fun along the way!

This hands-on course is a great introduction to keelboat sailing and is ideal for anyone looking to build practical skills, confidence, and a solid foundation on the water.
