🌍🎉 Congratulations to GBDSS graduate Allie Homick on an incredible achievement!

Allie, who will be attending the University of Waterloo this fall, and her teammate Victoria S. from Team Power Puck Girls have earned a spot at Technovation Girls World Summit becoming the first University of Waterloo team to advance to the global finals!

This October, they will travel to Bengaluru, India, to showcase their innovative app, CareCompass, and compete against the top student teams from around the world in the Senior Division at the 2026 Technovation World Summit.

We are so proud to see our graduates making an impact on the global stage. Congratulations, Allie. We'll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙🐻

🎉 Congratulations to Jimmy McLaren! 🎉

We are proud to share that Jimmy McLaren has been named a recipient of the prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarship.

Awarded to just 100 graduating students across Canada each year, the Schulich Leader Scholarships recognize outstanding students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Jimmy has earned a $120,000 scholarship to support his engineering studies at Western University.

“Jimmy is an exceptional student who consistently demonstrates excellence in the classroom, on the field of play, and within our school community. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to achieving his goals make him truly deserving of this remarkable recognition.”

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to support our car wash fundraiser!

Our students are heading to Italy, France, and Spain for March Break 2027 and are hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser this Saturday, May 30th from 10am–2pm here in front of the school. The event features a student entrepreneur who runs his own car detailing business, and all proceeds support the trip.
Thank you also to Canadian Tire for your generous donations!

May 5th, marks the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirit Peoples. On this day, we remember all the First Nations, Métis and Inuit women, girls and 2SLGBTQ+ people who have lost their lives to violence. We stand in solidarity with each member of our community who has lost a loved one, and we honour their memories by raising awareness.
